Please ensure your passport has at least 6 months’ validity from the date of return from Paris, France.

Visa Eligibility

Citizens of the following countries do not require a Schengen Visa to enter Paris:

• Singapore
• Hong Kong *
• Malaysia
• Taiwan **
• United Kingdom

* Passport holders with SAR or BNO passports in compliance with ICAO standards do not require a visa to enter Paris.

** Passport holders must have their Identity Card Number included.

Citizens of the following countries will require a Schengen Visa to enter Paris:

• China
• India
• Indonesia
• Philippines
• Vietnam

It is recommended to apply for a Schengen Visa as early as possible, as processing times typically take 15 days but may extend up to 45 days or longer. The application fee is approximately 90 EUR.

The standard consumption tax (VAT) rate in France is 20%.

Tax-Free Shopping (VAT Refund) Eligibility

You may be eligible for a VAT refund if the following conditions are met:

• You are a resident of a non-EU country at the time of purchase.
• You are at least 16 years of age or older.
• Total purchase must be €100 or more (tax-included) at a single store or a group of stores on the same day.
• Items must be for personal use only and taken out of Paris.

VAT Refund Procedure

1. Search for stores displaying the Tax-Free Shopping or PABLO logo.
2. Obtaining your Refund Form:
   • In smaller boutiques, request the “Bordereau de détaxe” directly from the staff.
   • In major department stores like Galeries Lafayette or La Samaritaine, visit the centralized VAT Refund/Détaxe counter within the building.
   • Minimum Spend: Ensure your single-day spend in one store or a group of stores exceeds €100.00.
3. On the day of your departure from Paris, locate a Tax-Refund Counter at the airport with the following documents:
   • PABLO Tax-Free Forms (with barcode).
   • Original Passport.
   • Unused goods in their original packaging.
   • Boarding Pass or travel ticket.
4. Tax-Refund Counter are located at the following points:
   • Terminal 1: CDGVAL Level (Hall 6)
   • Terminal 2A: Exit 5
   • Terminal 2C: Exit 12
   • Terminal 2D: Gate 6
   • Terminal 2E: Departures Level, near Exit 4 or 8D
   • Terminal 2F: Arrivals Level, near Exit 10A
   • Terminal 3: Departures Level

Important Notes

• You must present your original passport at the time of purchase to receive the Official Tax-Free Form.
• The tax-free benefit is not given at the time of purchase, but at the airport. You must show your passport and complete the required forms at the shop and head to the dedicated airport refund desk before departure.
